Project Description: IBS is on a team that developed the Utility’s Strategic plan and has been asked to provide ongoing support to the leadership group to operationalizing the organizational strategic plan, by assisting in the development of business processes, implementing technology solution, defining performance measures and clarify organizational roles and responsibilities. This development processes include analyzing the organizational structure to determine the relationship of the various operating and administrative units to each other for the purpose of identifying cost drivers. The process also includes analyzing the financial procedures and systems, including account and sub-account structures to determine their ability to directly support cost determination; and analyzing various other systems. The post data analysis phase of the engagement includes developing a model to organize the data from each system, identifying cost drivers, data migration, data reconciliation and accrual recording, cost identification, allocating indirect cost to final cost objectives, calculating required unit costs, statistical analyses, and preparing a user manual and training agency personnel on its use. Our duties include general ledger analysis and assisting in the generation and reconciliation of standard reports.
