Akinola Ogundimu
Akinola Ogundimu is a finance and management consulting professional with more than 15 years of experience across accounting, financial management, IT systems, and strategic advisory. As a Senior Consultant with IBS Management & Consultancy Services, he provides expertise in financial planning, audit readiness, internal controls, and process reengineering to support both public and private sector clients.
Mr. Ogundimu began his career at ExxonMobil as a Financial Analyst and advanced to senior finance roles at British American Tobacco—including Financial Accounting Manager and Marketing Finance Manager—where he managed audits, budgets, internal controls, and business process redesign. He later served as Chief Financial Officer for Kimberly-Clark East & Central Africa, overseeing enterprise planning, compliance, and IT systems implementations that improved efficiency and control across multi-country operations.
At IBS, Mr. Ogundimu has supported major engagements with the District of Columbia Government, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and international utility clients. His expertise spans financial and strategic planning, budget development and monitoring, risk management, compliance reviews, ERP system implementation, procurement, and contracts management. His portfolio includes advising on rate and tariff studies, capital fund management, audit readiness, and customer database modernization projects that strengthen governance and financial performance.
Mr. Ogundimu holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, a B.Sc. in Marketing from Lagos State University, and an HND in Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic. He is an Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA). Known for a calm, solutions-first leadership style, he builds high-trust relationships with executives and cross-functional teams, bringing a global perspective and a results-driven approach to every client engagement.
