Henry Saliu, MBA

Henry Saliu is a seasoned financial management consultant with more than 25 years of experience delivering strategic advisory and transformation services to public sector organizations. He is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in financial reporting, audit readiness, risk management, and performance improvement. 

Mr. Saliu has dedicated much of his career to helping federal, state, and local government agencies strengthen internal controls, achieve and maintain clean audit opinions, comply with financial policies, and implement improved systems and processes. He has led large-scale consulting projects focused on process improvement, financial reporting, cost management, and risk management, enabling clients to enhance transparency and accountability while optimizing performance. 

Prior to joining IBS,  he was a Principal at TFC Consulting, a management consulting firm focused on strengthening government through expertise in financial management, risk and internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Saliu also served as an Associate Partner in IBM Global Business Services’ Public Sector Finance and Transformation Unit for almost 15 years. In both roles, he led large teams of consultants across multiple engagements; developed reusable financial management solutions adopted by multiple government agencies and oversaw the growth of many accounts in the Public Sector space. Mr. Saliu also was a Senior Consultant in the Big 4 Firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and began his professional journey as an auditor with D.O. Dafinone & Co., a leading audit firm in Nigeria.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Howard University, where he was honored as a Trustee Scholar and inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society He has also completed executive training at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and advanced courses in risk and controls for financial institutions in London, England.

With a proven record of advising complex organizations and a deep commitment to financial integrity, Mr. Saliu brings both technical expertise and practical insight to his role at IBS, where he continues to guide clients in achieving sustainable improvements in governance, compliance, and financial performance.
